How Many Leads Are in Your Campaign: Ami, Automatic Top-Ups, and Credits
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Your campaign does not stay at the lead count you saw when you launched it. AiSDR keeps adding new matching leads every day unless you switch that off. On Solo you get 600 lead search credits a month, and each contact costs about 3, so the daily top-up is the single biggest thing that decides how long your credits last.
🔢 The two numbers that set your lead count
Every campaign runs on two numbers.
Starting batch. The lead count you pick when you run a search. Your options are 10, 20, 50.
Daily top-up. The Continuously add new checkbox. It is off by default, and it adds the same number as your starting batch, once a day, for as long as the campaign is active.
So a 50-lead search with the checkbox left on is not a 50-lead campaign. It is 50 leads today and 50 more tomorrow, on repeat.
💡 Good to know: The number that lands in your campaign can be lower than the number you searched. Duplicates and leads without a valid email get filtered out during enrichment.
🤖 What Ami adds when it builds your campaign
If you let Ami build the campaign for you, it runs the first lead search right away instead of waiting for the next scheduled run. Ami starts small on purpose.
Cold Outreach: 10 leads
Signals (LinkedIn post likes, keywords, profile views): up to 20 leads, or it stops once it collects 100 signals
Ami also leaves the daily top-up on. A campaign Ami built for you keeps pulling roughly 10 new leads a day until you change it.
🔁 How the daily top-up actually behaves
It runs once per day. The exact time shifts a little each day so your outreach looks natural.
The campaign must be active. A paused campaign gets no new leads.
It uses your original search filters and your original lead count.
Here is what that means for your Solo credits.
Leads per search | Added per day | Credits per day | 600 credits last |
|---|---|---|---|
10 | 10 | ~20-30 | ~20 days |
20 | 20 | 40~60 | ~10 days |
50 | 50 | ~100-150 | ~4 days |
💳 What a lead costs
Lead search credits: 2-3 per contact researched and enriched
Solo plan: 600 lead search credits, which is roughly 200 contacts
Message credits: about 800, which is roughly 4 messages per contact
The two allowances are matched on purpose. 200 contacts is enough for a full four-message sequence each. If you burn through contacts faster than that, you will run out of leads to write to before you run out of messages to send.
You can check what is left at any time in Settings → Plans & Billing.
🧩 Common use cases
🛑 I don't want any leads added automatically
Take full manual control of your credits.
How to set it up:
Go to Campaign Builder → Cold Outreach
Run your search and pick your lead count
Uncheck Continuously add new before you add the leads to the campaign

✅ Your campaign will only ever hold the leads you added by hand.
💡 Good to know: Already launched with the box checked? Open the campaign, click on the Edit button, and uncheck it there. Anything added before that stays in the campaign.
🎯 I want to know how many leads my campaign is adding right now
How to check:
Open Campaigns and click your campaign
Click on Edit button
Check whether Continuously add new is on
🧮 I want my 600 credits to last the whole month
The cleanest setup on Solo is to turn the top-up off and add leads on a weekly rhythm.
How to set it up:
Uncheck Continuously add new
Run a 50-lead search once a week
Let the sequence finish before you add the next batch
✅ 50 leads a week is 200 contacts a month, which is exactly your 600 credits.
💡 Good to know: If you leave the top-up on at 10 leads a day, you run dry around day 20. The weekly batch spreads the same volume across the full month.
🐢 I want a slow drip without touching it every week
Leave the top-up on, but keep the search count at its smallest.
How to set it up:
Set your lead count to 10
Leave Continuously add new checked
✅ 10 leads a day is the gentlest automatic setting available.
💡 Best practices
Uncheck Continuously add new on your first campaign. Turn it back on once you know your reply rate.
✅ Narrow audience, 250 leads, top-up off. ❌ Broad audience, 200 leads, top-up on.
Pause a campaign you are not actively watching. Paused campaigns do not spend credits on new leads.
Fix your audience description before you add volume. More leads will not rescue a vague audience.
Credits on Solo are tight by design, and the daily top-up is the one setting that can spend them all in a day. Get that one checkbox right and everything else is easy to manage. If you are unsure what your campaign is set to, send us the campaign name and we will check it with you.
