To create or manage a suppression list, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to:

If you want to use domains, make sure they are in the correct format:
company.com (correct)
✘ www.company.com (incorrect);

You’ll see four options to create a list:

📁 Option 1: Upload a CSV

  • Click “Create suppression list” and select the CSV tab

  • Upload a CSV file with two columns:

    • Value: the email addresses or domains (e.g., john@company.com or company.com);

    • Type: either email or domain .

  • Click Confirm.

You can download an example of the CSV file below:

🔄 Option 2: Sync with HubSpot

If you use HubSpot as a CRM and it is connected to AiSDR, you can import a suppression list directly:

  • Switch to the HubSpot tab;

  • Select List type: Contact (to suppress individual leads) or Company (to suppress entire companies);

  • Choose an existing HubSpot list;

  • Click Confirm;

  • Optional: Enable “Sync new suppressions from HubSpot” to auto-update the list.

🆕 Option 3: Sync with Salesforce

  1. You can sync only emails to AiSDR from Salesforce Suppression list;

  2. Only Contacts and Accounts reports are supported. Report must be public in Salesforce to sync successfully with AiSDR.

If you use Salesforce as a CRM and it is connected to AiSDR, you can import a suppression list directly:

  • Switch to the Salesforce tab;

  • Select the list to upload;

  • Click Confirm.

Active vs. Static Lists

  • Active Suppression List (default): Automatically adds new contacts if they appear in Salesforce.

  • Static Suppression List: Only includes contacts available at the time of upload.

Option 4: Add Manually

Each lead you add using this method creates a separate suppression list.  If you want that lead to be part of a specific existing list, you must first open that particular list and then add the record from inside it.

  • Switch to the Manual tab;

  • Create the List name;

  • Enter the email address or domain you wish to suppress (Value);

  • Select the appropriate type (Email/Domain);

  • Click Confirm to save.

Having some issues with the upload? Read here how to troubleshoot.

If you see the following message when trying to upload your suppression list:

"Some of the suppressed entries below have missing or invalid data. Please fix them before continuing."

…it means that one or more fields in your CSV are either missing or not recognized by the system.

This usually happens when:

  • The Value (email or domain) or Type (email/domain) column is empty or incorrectly formatted.

  • A domain is not in valid format — for example, aisdr or www.aisdr.com instead of aisdr.com.

How to Fix It:

  1. Scroll through the list to review all pages.

  2. Look for rows highlighted in red. These indicate invalid or incomplete entries:

  3. Edit the entry directly (click the pencil icon), or delete it if it's not needed.

  4. Once all invalid rows are corrected or removed, the "Upload" button will become available again.

📥 Pro Tip

Click the "Download an example CSV" button in the modal to ensure your file matches the required structure:

  • Value column: contains email addresses or valid domains (e.g., example@domain.com, company.com)

  • Type column: must contain either email or domain
