What Is the Suppression List?

Last updated: December 5, 2025

A suppression list (sometimes called an exclusion list) is a list of email addresses or domains that you want to intentionally exclude from all outreach campaigns. While these contacts may still appear in your lead lists or search results, AiSDR will not engage with them once the campaign is active.

🔒 Who’s Typically Included in a Suppression List?

  • Your current customers (or prospects)
Accounts you don’t want to re-target through cold outreach.

  • Unsubscribed contacts

Users who have previously opted out of communication.

  • Competitors or sensitive accounts
Leads that require special handling or should be avoided altogether.

✅ Why Suppression Lists Matter

  • Protect Your Reputation: Avoid sending emails to contacts who have opted out, your competitors, or current customers.

  • Avoid double targeting: If your team is actively prospecting alongside AiSDR, it is a good idea to add current prospects to the suppression list as well.
