LinkedIn Connection Privacy: What AiSDR Can and Cannot See

Last updated: September 2, 2026

When you connect your LinkedIn account to AiSDR, it only acts and reads within the scope of your outreach campaigns. It cannot see your feed, your notifications, your personal messages, or anything else you do manually on LinkedIn. Below is the exact, complete list of what AiSDR touches and what it never touches.

What AiSDR does on LinkedIn

AiSDR performs six actions, and only these six:

  • Sends connection requests (blank or with a short note)

  • Sends direct messages and InMails

  • Likes a lead's posts

  • Withdraws unanswered connection requests after 14 days

  • Checks whether a campaign action got a response

  • Checks profile viewers (only if you've turned this on for a campaign)

Every one of these actions is tied to a specific campaign you set up. AiSDR doesn't act on your LinkedIn account outside of what your campaigns are configured to do.

👀 What AiSDR reads

To do the six actions above, AiSDR needs to read a small, fixed set of data:

  • Lead profiles — name, headline, company (used to personalize messages)

  • A lead's recent posts — for personalization and liking

  • Conversation threads AiSDR itself started — for reply detection only

  • Connection status with a lead

  • Profile viewers (only if that signal is enabled by you)

That's the full list. Nothing here overlaps with your personal activity on the platform.

🚫 What AiSDR never touches

This is the part that matters most. AiSDR does not access:

  • Your feed

  • Your notifications

  • Your own posts

  • Conversations it didn't start

  • Groups

  • Events

  • Endorsements

  • LinkedIn Ads

  • LinkedIn Learning

AiSDR never monitors manually-initiated activity. If you send a message yourself, browse a profile yourself, or post something yourself, AiSDR has no visibility into it — that activity simply isn't in the data it reads.

🧩 Common concerns, answered directly

😟 I'm worried AiSDR can read my private messages and conversations

How reply detection actually works: AiSDR only reads the conversation thread it started as part of a campaign. If AiSDR didn't send the first message in a thread, it does not open that thread. At all. This isn't a filter applied after the fact; AiSDR has no reason or pathway to access threads outside the ones it initiated.

Any conversation you have that didn't start as an AiSDR campaign message is completely outside AiSDR's reach.

😟 I'm worried AiSDR is watching my feed, notifications, or general activity

AiSDR doesn't browse the feed, read notifications, or view post history outside of a lead's profile. It has no function that opens or scans these areas of LinkedIn.

your day-to-day LinkedIn usage (scrolling, reacting, reading updates) is never seen by AiSDR.

😟 I don't want AiSDR to know who's viewed my profile

This one only applies if you choose to turn it on. The "LinkedIn Profile Viewers" signal is opt-in per campaign. When enabled, AiSDR checks who recently viewed your connected profile to help identify warm leads — it does not track where you browse or what you view elsewhere.

If you never enable this signal, AiSDR never looks at your profile viewers.

💡 Good to know: this signal is about identifying interest from external visitors to your profile, not about monitoring your own behavior.

😟 I'm worried this puts my LinkedIn account at risk of being restricted

  • You set daily limits per action (connection requests, messages, likes)

  • Actions only fire during your configured hours

  • Only one action runs per account at a time

These limits exist specifically to keep activity within normal, safe usage patterns.
